Professor Leonardo Machado is the founder and head instructor of BTT North Dallas. With over 20 years on the mat and 29+ international gold medals, he brings an elite level of competition experience to every class. Ranked 8th worldwide in the Master 2 division, Professor Machado comes from the prestigious BTT Juiz de Fora lineage. His teaching philosophy focuses on building strong fundamentals while creating a welcoming, family-friendly training environment for students of all ages and skill levels.

Professor Diego earned his black belt under Professor Machado and has established himself as one of the most accomplished competitors at BTT North Dallas. As a No-Gi World Champion and No-Gi Pan Champion, his expertise in submission-only and No-Gi grappling is second to none. He also holds Master World and Pan Championship titles, demonstrating sustained excellence across divisions. His dynamic teaching style and competition-proven techniques help students at every level improve rapidly.
